My art depicts the northern nature with atmospheric landscapes. I paint aquarelles in the traditional realistic style. Painting has been important to me since the early life. I am inspired by nature trips and travels thanks to which I have seen a variety of natural surroundings. Some of these are included in my main job in the field of natural sciences.
My paintings mainly focus on Nordic nature in different seasons. Architectural paintings make the other theme with picturesque old buildings. I try to take a closer look at how different elements in the landscape vary depending on lighting conditions.
Aquarelle painting is my favourite method because of its versatility and a certain level of challenge. In addition to watercolours, I have sometimes used high-quality coloured pencils, especially in the past. Nowadays, I prefer watercolours in their various forms. I have had solo art exhibitions.
